About the Parish Council

Butterton Parish Council meets every six weeks on a Tuesday evening in the Village Hall. All residents are welcome to attend. There are seven Councillors and a Parish Clerk.

In general the Parish Council acts as the first point of contact for other statutory bodies such as the Planning Department of the Peak Park, the County Council and the Staffordshire Moorlands District Council. In turn the Parish Council liaises with these bodies to improve the life of the village. The council also employs a Lengthsman to keep the local footpaths and verges clean and tidy.
